Marquardt Switches, Inc. seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer in Rochester Hills, MI.

Duties:

Coordinate project tasks among different engineering functions (software, mechanical, electrical); function as the technical contact for automotive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers, and play a key role on core team meetings with cross-functional departments.

Lead customer contact for all development issues and assignments (external communication).

Identify work packages and activities, estimate time, effort and define work products (project management).

Analyze and review customer requirement specifications to determine feasibility, also in regards to cost and time (requirements management.)

Create or make changes to system architecture.

Support DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities with the FMEA moderator (Failure mode and effects analysis)

Evaluate product qualification DV/PV (Design Verification/Product Verification) status and test reports.

Support project risk management and function.

Support the project configuration management.

Lead of the project release management.

Review work products on all levels of the projects. Support new business acquisitions.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Product Development Design Engineer or a related role.

Requires 5 years of experience with the following skills:
