LSC Precision is looking for an experienced CNC machinist. Capably of setting up vertical CNC machining centers. Must know how to read blueprints, and set tools and fixtures according to process instructions. We make aerospace precision machined parts and are AS9100 certified.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Machinery: Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts and instruments.

Read and Interpret Blueprints: Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.

Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality and design specifications, using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Tool Maintenance: Maintain and sharpen tools as needed, ensuring that machines are operating at optimal performance levels.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and correct malfunctions in machine operations, either independently or in collaboration with maintenance staff.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a machinist is required, ideally within a precision manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with CNC machinery and manual machine operations. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as needed.

Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Education:

Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or vocational training program is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
