Position Summary:

Along with the Director of Sponsorship/Special Events, this may involve the solicitation of local sponsorship through personal meeting with current sponsors and the development of new sponsors.Coordinator responsible for oversight and organization of a variety of special events held during Non - Fair and the Kansas State Fair.This involves contracting with and working in coordination with organizers to make sure all details are successfully carried out. Assist with the front desk when administrative assistant is not available. Answer phone, help with customers that come in lobby. Rotation of help with lunches.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Coordinator is responsible for assisting with preparation or sponsorship proposals and contracts; maintains a sponsorship reach report to be shared regularly with theSponsorship/Special Events Director; ensures all benefit details and aspects of the sponsorship are completed.Following the Fair, Coordinator will assist in the development of a post-fair sponsorship report that will be delivered to the sponsor and will be accompanied by the sponsorship appreciation plaque.The position will be responsible for assisting in sponsor hospitality and involves some local travel to accomplish the development and follow-up for the Kansas State Fair.

Prior to the Fair, Coordinator is responsible for creating any letters, registration forms, invitations, credential distribution, and general communication and organization of participants of any of the special events.Following the Fair, Coordinator will make recommendations and suggestions to theSponsorship/Marketing Director throughout the year including the Fair.Coordinator is responsible for the Corporate Purchasing Program designed to encourage companies and similar groups to pre-purchase quantities of tickets for their employees and/or customers.
