JOB FUNCTION:**

To create an environment where the employees deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position will be responsible for operations, customer service, cultivation of and implementation of effective sales and service of the front line staff including relationship bankers and tellers. The Service Manager will also be responsible for creating a positive coaching model in the Banking Center.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a team of relationship bankers and tellers that deliver exceptional customer experiences by engaging, educating and building personal relationships

Follow the banks established sales and service model as well as provide coaching to employees on this model

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Banking Center staff as well as bank partners to ensure exceptional experience for internal and external customers

Ensure relationship bankers are providing appropriate recommendations that meet the financial needs of customers

Manages the operational responsibilities of the Banking Center

Manages the internal sales and service process of the Banking Center in an effort to cultivate deposits as well as other products/services and referrals to other lines of business

Ensure Banking Centers are adequately staffed to provide optimal coverage

Prepare banking center reports for Management as needed

Responsible for employment selection, placement, performance appraisals, counseling, and training for banking center staff

Ensures the banking center is operationally sound and staff adheres to all policy and procedures

Performs regular review of teller and relationship bankers work for accuracy and completeness

Manages non-interest expense by controlling teller losses and banking center purchases

Ensures staff is updated on policies and procedures

Ensures the building, grounds and equipment are a safe and secure environment for employees and customers of the banking center

Conduct operations and sales and service meetings with staff on a weekly basis

Cover for relationship bankers or tellers to ensure Customer Experience in the Banking Center is exceptional

Ensures that CRM system is being utilized on a daily

Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

Work Experience**

3 years of experience as a Teller, Relationship Banker or Universal Banker

1 year of experience in a mentoring, coaching, or guidance-focused role involving performance feedback, counseling, and support for employee development.

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred Experience

3 or more years managing a Banking Center or as a Banking Services Manager with strong knowledge of banking practices and vast experience working with complicated business structures, with a superior knowledge of new account stylings, business, and consumer loan production, as well as bank operations experience.

2 years of experience in a leadership role in which hiring decision, writing performance appraisals, and performance coaching and counseling were performed

2 Years of experience in a performance coaching environment

Education

College Degree or equivalent work experience on a year for year basis

Equipment/Machines

Excellent computer literacy in all Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Reader)

Ability to work with office equipment such as copiers, scanners, shredders, fax machines and other digital devices

Ability to use Financial Service Platform software

Competency Requirements

Must be able to communicate face to face with customers

Proven organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion

Must be able to focus on details and be accurate

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Must be accustomed to a fast-paced office environment

Physical Requirements

Must be able to reach, bend, push, pull files up to 30lbs

Must be able to sit for most of the day in front of a computer screen

Must be able to speak to and hear to communicate with customers

Must be able to @type on a keyboard

Must be able to read a laptop/computer monitor

Must be able to reach teller tubes

Must be mobile in an office environment
