Key Responsibilities:

Assist journeyman electricians in the installation of substation equipment, including transformers, breakers, switches, bus duct, and grounding systems.

Pull, label, and terminate wires and cables as directed.

Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.

Help with conduit bending, installation, and routing according to drawings and specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work site.

Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily job site safety briefings.

Learn to interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical instructions.

Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.

Attend and complete all required safety and apprenticeship training programs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (required).

Enrollment in a registered electrical apprenticeship program (or willingness to enroll).

Previous construction or electrical experience is a plus but not required.

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to travel and work outdoors.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently.

Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding conditions.

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
