Summary

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, fabricating, and installing a wide range of production machinery and equipment to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect machinery and equipment through observation, sound, and performance to identify sources of malfunction

Diagnose electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and thermal system issues

Disassemble machines and equipment to access and evaluate problem areas

Inspect and measure components to identify wear, misalignment, or other defects

Remove, replace, realign, and adjust worn or defective machine parts

Test machines and equipment following repairs to ensure proper operation

Source repair parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels based on equipment history

Perform all repairs efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established company policies

Prioritize and schedule repairs and preventative maintenance based on production and customer requirements

Document repair and preventative maintenance activities using maintenance management software

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision

Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) preferred; minimum of 5 years of relevant experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in diagnostic equipment, blueprint reading, and interpretation of electrical/electronic schematics, as well as pneumatic, hydraulic, and thermal diagrams

Strong working knowledge of industrial machine controls

Computer proficiency, including troubleshooting and maintenance software use

CNC machinery and G-code knowledge preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills
