About the Role

Good Choice Media LLC is seeking a

Digitization Lab Technician Assistantto join our growing media preservation team. In this hands-on technical role, youll help a wide range of analog materials including film reels, VHS tapes, photos, slides, and documents into high-quality digital formats. Youll play a vital part in preserving clients memories and archives while maintaining top standards of quality, accuracy, and care.

Key Responsibilities

Media Digitization

Operate professional scanning and capture equipment for film, video, audio, and photographic materials.

Ensure all digital conversions meet company quality standards.

Log, label, and organize digitized files using internal software.

Client Support and Media Handling

Greet and assist clients both in person and online; help set up new accounts.

Receive, tag, and track client materials, ensuring every item is handled carefully.

Assign and manage project codes and maintain clear tracking records.

Answer incoming calls and respond to general inquiries professionally.

Shipping of Client Material

Equipment and Lab Maintenance

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Perform regular equipment checks and light maintenance to ensure reliability.

Administrative Tasks

Support project documentation and job status tracking.

Coordinate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Work Expectations

Maintain focus and productivity during all working hours.

Limit personal phone use to emergencies only.

Avoid unrelated content (audiobooks, videos) during digitization work.

Communicate any technical or workflow issues proactively in meetings or reviews.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $16-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

(Experienced media technicians typically earn $25-$30/hour.)
