NY1532969 Staff Accountant Full time, Monday through Friday for Giotto Enterprises in Oriskany, NY.

Job Description: Giotto Enterprises, the umbrella organization for seven affiliate companies in the greater Utica/Rome/Herkimer area including its flagship company Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc., has an immediate opening for a STAFF ACCOUNTANT at its Oriskany, NY headquarters. This is a full-time position in an excellent working environment, with the successful candidate reporting directly to the corporate CFO.

Duties:

Daily sales and production posting, review and analysis.

Prepare monthly reports for accounts payable,

accounts receivable, general ledger.

Maintaining the integrity of all cost data.

Analyzing purchase price variances and providing

explanations.

Oversee information related to purchase costs, outside

service costs, labor rates, overhead rates

Managing the physical inventory, cycle counts and

inventory adjustments

Assisting with the month-end close procedures

Analyzing and reconciling inventory accounts in the

general ledger.

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability

to meet deadlines.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education/Experience:

AAS Degree in Acctg., Business, or Finance (+ 5 yrs

exp), or Bachelor's degree w 3 yrs. experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must possess a strong attention to detail and enjoy

working in a team environment

Self-motivated with results driven approach.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a

computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary: From $70,00/yr - contingent on education, experience, and related qualifications.
