Prepare sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, or blueprints, using drafting instruments, paints and brushes, or computer-aided design equipment. Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends. Lead the design, development, and enhancement of products, ensuring alignment with company goals. Oversee the product lifecycle, from concept to hand-off to Marketing for launch, ensuring that all engineering activities are delivered on time and withing budget. Lead, mentor, and develop one engineer; fostering a culture of professionalism, collaborations and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and expectations for the team, providing regular feedback. Review samples on site when they arrive, and work with proto@types off-site at different facilities. This involves assembly, breakdown, as well as some light fabrication (on occasion). Maintain organized and regular communications with all manufacturers throughout the process of each product project. This involves written as well as visual communications (photos, sketches, drawings, and renderings). Quickly develop solutions to complex mechanical issues. High level of problem-solving ability is required. Review engineering of design/construction of existing products as requested/required and provide assessment/analysis/recommendations to ensure the product is fit tor purpose and meets applicable product standards including but not limited to: Weight capacity, stability, Bifma/Socit Gnrale de Surveillance (SGS) standards. Assist with market research and presentations to best communicate design possibilities. Develop and refine existing products to increase functionality and appeal. Follow up with factories/suppliers to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications. Management and coordination of product room - keeping space clean/organized and ready for testing at any time. Develop and implement engineering processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Analyze existing organizational processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Identify potential vendor partners for new products. Travel to their factory and provide a quality assurance report. Requires international travel. Develop product strategy and RandD pipeline in conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Assist with internal software development and reporting, through tools such as Power Business Intelligence (BI).

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, or the foreign equivalent.

Minimum Experience Required:

3 years experience working in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Product Development. 3 years experience bringing products from concept phase to manufacturing. 3 years experience using industry standard 3D design software (Solidworks, OR Fusion 360, OR Catia). 3 years experience using presentation software (PowerPoint OR Keynote). 3 years experience sketching or conveying a 3D shape on paper or on screen.

Minimum Travel Required: 5% Domestic Travel to any of 50 states, 6 times per year, for client service visits. 5% International Travel to Mexico, 6 times per year, for vendor visits
