Join Our Team as a CNC Machinist at Epiroc!

Position Objective: Operates special-purpose equipment, conventional (lathe/mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines for fabricating metallic and nonmetallic parts that meet the high-quality machine standards required within the organization. This is for our 3rd shift position. It is a 4/10-hour position, working sun night to Thursday morning.

Essential Functions: Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to find dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements Operate CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill, and drill press Set up machinery and ensure all production materials are available Operate Fork Lift Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine control as required Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers Must demonstrate a basic to intermediate skill level (indicate part, turn OD's, and qualify ID and OD) Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc Document quality inspections as directed by SOP Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area Assist SHEQ in promoting and monitoring Safety First initiatives and goals as stated in the MR Operational Policy throughout the organization Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Knowledge/Educational Requirements: A High School Diploma or GED is required An Associate of Artsor equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in the machinist trade is a plus Basic computer skills

Experience Requirements: 2-4years of experience working with CNC machines

Competency Requirements: Ability to operate equipment in a safe andcontrolled manner Ability to follow instructions, both written and oral Must be able to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work with minimal guidance Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
