NY1541319 Project Engineer needed for Epimed International in Johnstown, NY.

Pay rate is $60,000 - $90,000 per year.

Summary: The Project Engineer will coordinate and manage engineering and development projects. Who will oversee various aspects of workflow, staffing, budget allocation, and scheduling of the assigned project. Responsible for coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final validation phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customers needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (others may be assigned) Provide technical engineering oversight to develop project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment component installation, etc. Lead multifunctional new product project teams through the project lifecycle, adhering closely to project timeline and budget Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety procedures, quality standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, other regulatory agency standards, and good maintenance practices Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing methodology to enhance quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness Assess new technology and new product ideas for technical and economic feasibility. Fundamental understanding of process instrumentation and automation Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations. Provide technical leadership for the manufacturing processes to resolve operational problems as it relates to producibility, conformance to the drawing or specifications, material use and bottlenecks in the process. Develop detailed manufacturing drawings Develop and perform IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols Interact regularly with consulting engineers, contractors, and/or government entities to develop acquire approvals for manufacturing drawings < 10% travel required

Requirements Related bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical 5-10 years experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering environment with technical knowledge of operations and manufacturing flow Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD platforms Medical device experience preferred but not required Display strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as daily interaction with engineers, contractors and/or public agencies is required.
