POSITION TITLE: Plant Assembly Utility

JOB CODE: 19-191

DEPARTMENT: Assembly

REPORTS TO: Supervisor-Assembly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all duties on the assembly lines and/or operating a Powered Industrial Truck to provide plant wide support when needed. Tests and repairs ranges. Trains new associates on job tasks and assists in follow-up of quality issues. Troubleshoots functional defects. May backfill for associates who must repair workmanship errors. May back fill for absenteeism.

QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS:

High School Diploma or GED.

Must achieve Powered Industrial Lift Truck certification within 6 months of hire.

Must achieve EMS Yellow Gear Certification within 30 days of hire and EMS Green Gear Certification within 12 months.

Communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.

Able to work directly in insulation.

Able to operate rework and repair equipment.

Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

Able to stand for the majority of the shift.

Able to work with minimal supervision.
