Position Summary:

Provides job development services to participants enrolled in the Building Value Construction Training program including working with employers and community providers to ensure participants are receiving work readiness training as well as support finding a job placement.

Job Responsibilities:

Develops job placement plans with each participant and complete intake form.

Provides job development services including but not limited to, resume writing, interview skills development, soft skills training, providing labor market information, and connecting to hiring employers.

Transports and accompany participants to potential employment sites and communicating with hiring managers, scheduling interviews and providing support through the job placement process as neededConducts follow-up for six (6) months after each participant's placement.

Develops and maintains partnerships with local employers to establish work opportunities.

Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including intake forms, activity logs, mileage/expense reports, job placements, etc.

Works well with community providers and develops working partnerships that embrace the needs of the participants.

Makes appropriate referrals to exist
