Primary Purpose:

Under general supervision, oversee and apply pesticides and herbicides according to the district pest management policy.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of methods and material for pest control and state regulations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written material.

Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.

Ability to use hand and power tools.

Such alternatives to the above as the district may find appropriate.

Knowledge of pest control identification and practices.

Experience:

Minimum three years experience in the pesticide industry.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Receive and complete work orders involving pest control.

Implement the district IPM program as per State of Texas standards and district policy.

Maintain a prioritized list of needed structural and landscape improvements.

Make all required postings.

Maintain IPM records of all applications as required by laws and district policy.

Ensure that all pesticides used on district property comply with district, federal, and state requirements.

Maintain an inventory of district owned tools, equipment, and materials.

Respond to emergency calls as needed.

Promote high standards of safety and good housekeeping.
