Are you looking to advance your career in Network Engineering? CoVantage Credit Union is seeking a Network Engineer to join our robust Information Technology team. This person will maintain the credit union wide area and local area networks (WAN/LAN) including routers, switches, firewall, proxy servers, DNS, wireless, and security appliances to ensure highly available and secure networking systems.

Job Duties:

Provides detailed configuration and administration for core data center systems and monitoring applications. Provides Level 3 support as well as proactively monitors, patches, research, and resolves network system issues to support the credit union's business needs.

Manages design, configuration, and documentation of WAN/LAN network architecture and is the primary contact point for LAN/WAN diagrams (Visio).

Provides a primary technical contact point for all WAN/LAN network systems' performance and availability through appropriate application of change management, preventive maintenance, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and pro-active monitoring.

Ensures data center and network security including administration of next generation firewall, IDS/IPS appliance, network configuration and event monitoring.

Works with credit union security personnel to provide technology insight, product evaluation and recommendation as well as assist in configuration per the security team.

Works with IS&T managers and other departments to resolve incidents and respond to service requests.

Assists with semi-annual disaster testing of credit union information systems using the credit union's Hot Site systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Information Technology or computer engineering or equivalent proven work experience. Cisco CCNA (any @type) required, other certifications helpful. A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience.

Must maintain knowledge of basic networking tools; Visio (Diagrams), Wireshark (Sniffer), packet capture tools as well as network management suite.

Must be familiar with advanced features and functionality such as AAA, QoS, 802.1x, STP enhancements, and security functionality.

Working knowledge of networking hardware and configurations including Cisco routers and switches (Cisco IOS and NX-OS), FortiGate, and Palo Alto Firewalls.

Working knowledge of Cisco ISE and/or Aruba Clearpass, with an intermediate understanding of routing protocols, OSPF and BGP.

Aware of various advanced features and functionality of Cisco switches and routers (IOS/XE/NX-OS) and FortiGate and Palo Alto firewall.

Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
