THE POSITION

Senior Software Engineer, Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Auburn Hills, MI:**

Design, develop and deliver production quality ADAS short- and long-range radar perception and driving functions algorithms. Support customer technical discussions, future business quotes, and performance escalations for short- and long-range radar products. Plan and execute customer software releases/deliveries on a weekly/bi-weekly cadence, including providing software integration and test support. Plan, write and manage ADAS perception and driving functions requirements spanning the system (L1) to the software component (L4) levels. Coordinate with project management to plan goals, efforts and performance expectations on 3-4 monthlong program increments, aligned with customer milestones. Lead scrum teams to prioritize, plan and execute work packages on 1-2 weeklong sprint increments in order to consistently deliver demo-ready algorithms to project management. Mentor colleagues on ADAS products and algorithms, algorithm development/testing best practices, and internal processes (functional safety, ISO 26262, release reviews, code reviews, requirements management, lessons learned, risk assessments, NCAP requirements). Support base/new radar product development requirements and software variants, align regional customer interests with global teams.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in any STEM field, plus 2 years of related work experience in the Automotive industry.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

Software development in C/C++;

Communicating technical concepts to business lay people;

Data set analysis using Python; and

Software version control using Git.

Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

Developing automotive software product(s);

Automotive SPICE; and

At least one (1) of the following application lifecycle management tools: PTC IMS Integrity Lifecycle Manager, JIRA, or Confluence.

Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.
