We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to lead high-engineering projects related to air compressors and compressed air systems, including our compressed air enclosure designed to enable year-round operation in any weather condition. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to liaise with customers, engineering firms, and internal teams. The engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and approving technical solutions while ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Technical Expertise:

Lead the development and improvement of the AWA, ensuring it meets performance, durability, and regulatory standards.

Review and interpret complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

Support project with interaction with the customer on general assembly drawings, piping flow diagrams and Provide technical guidance and support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of AWA enclosures.

Analyze and optimize air compressor systems and industrial compressed air solutions for end users to include site layout.

Project Management & Customer Interaction:

Act as the primary engineering contact for high-level projects with distribution, end users, and EPCs.

Work closely with customers, engineering firms, and contractors to define project requirements, understand their needs, and help create solutions.

Lead project meetings, provide technical insights, and ensure alignment with customer expectations.

Develop project schedules, and coordinate with outside engineering firms on design specifications for seismic, wind, and snow loads.

Coordinate with internal teams at the AWA factory to ensure timely project execution and support of AWA projects.

Ability to understand how to take compressed air systems, design structure for placement outside, and application of the product to industries we support.

Collaboration & Innovation:

Support R&D initiatives related to new products, efficiency improvements, and system integrations.

Qualifications & Skills: Education:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in engineering, preferably in air compressors, metal structures or enclosures, or related structures. Understanding how a project with equipment build goes from design, and construction to placement onsite.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of compressed air systems, piping, pressure vessels, and industrial ventilation.

Experience designing weather-resistant enclosures for outdoor industrial equipment is a plus.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering calculations.

Knowledge of electrical and control systems related to air compressors is a plus.

Project Management:

Ability to manage multiple projects, work with stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions and technical documentation.
