Assistant

within

the

Public

Works

Departments

Engineering

Division.

This position provides comprehensive administrative support with a primary focus on permit processing, plan review coordination, bonding, and public works operations support.

This role is critical to ensuring efficient workflow across engineering, inspection, and administrative

functions.

The

selected

candidate

will

serve

central

point

coordination for permit intake, tracking, approvals, and customer service.

KEY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate

and

track

permit

applications,

plan

reviews,

and

approvals.

Coordinate

bond

processing,

releases,

and

reductions.

Maintain

and

organize

digital

and

physical

filing

systems.

Serve

the

primary

point

contact

for

customer

inquiries

(phone,

email,

in-

person).

Assist

with

public

works

project

tracking

and

administrative

reporting.

Support

coordination

between

engineering

staff,

inspectors,

contractors,

and

developers.

Prepare

correspondence,

reports,

and

internal

documentation.
