Organization

The CAN Council is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect through its nationally accredited and evidence-based education, intervention and advocacy programs. Founded in 1979, the CAN Council has consistently grown to meet the needs of the community's children and families, providing services in Arenac, Bay, Huron and Saginaw counties. Job Purpose:

Responsible for planning, developing, and executing all marketing and communications activities related to advancing CAN Council's mission, including promotion of the four annual fundraising events. Full-time position based in Saginaw.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree accepted with appropriate experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Experience in event marketing, communications, or fundraising promotion.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.

Experience with e-marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Comfortable developing and following brand guidelines in both digital and print design.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns to support CAN Council's mission and annual fundraising objectives.

Lead the promotion and marketing strategy for four major annual fundraising events, including creating campaign timelines, collateral materials, and content that drive engagement and attendance.

Collaborate with the Director of Mission Advancement and Mission Advancement team on event strategy and post-event analysis.

Develop event-specific marketing materials (flyers, social media content, invitations, press releases, signage, etc.) that align with CAN Council brand guidelines.

Coordinate event registration communications, manage participant outreach, and oversee donor and sponsor recognition plans.

Build and maintain relationships with media and community partners to increase event visibility and overall mission awareness.

Develop and manage stewardship and follow-up communications for donors and sponsors to encourage continued support.

Create and manage event-focused content for e-newsletters and the CAN Council website.

Other duties as assigned to support the advancement of CAN Council's mission.
