Test Engineer

THE POSITION

Test Engineer, AUMOVIO Autonomous Mobility US, LLC f/k/a Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Auburn Hills, MI:

Technical lead for test engineering; effectively plan, coordinate and monitor the detailed test activities for system test and ensure delivery to test specific work products in time, quality and cost. Test drive vehicles owned by Continental. Responsible for ensuring that the system accomplishes the intended functionality consistent with the allocated system requirements and in line with the test strategy defined in the Master Test Plan. Verify system requirements for testability. Define test cases to verify and validate performance and robustness of the system under test. Responsible for the definition and provision of test systems (hardware and software) according to the defined standards and the system test environment specification. Support the project in defining the test strategy in relation with tooling possibilities. Lead, mentor and synchronize value with less experienced members or work on a team level or program level.

Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month.

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

Test and validation of vehicle or bench testing.

Test-related measurement technologies and tools, including DOORS, Measurement Test Systems (MTS), Vector tools (such as CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANdela or ETM), OxTS DGPS, and trailer simulation tools for test creation and measurement.

Automotive electronic and electromechanical products, CAN, and Ethernet communication bus systems.
