Position Summary

This role is responsible for the collection of delinquent accounts which includes commercial, consumer, and real estate that range from early stage to late stage delinquency. This position also supports the Account Resolution Supervisor and is cross-trained on advanced collection practices and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the collection of delinquent accounts

Assists with allowable collection efforts on Bankruptcy Accounts

Assists with escalated member service situations

Reviews accounts that are experiencing financial difficulties to discuss potential workout loans, extension requests to present to Supervisor for modification, or other extenuating situations due to financial difficulties that may cause on-going delinquency

Assigns door knock requests/field chase assignments

Recommends repossessions or legal action on delinquent loans for Account Resolution Manager's approval

Monitors accounts that are assigned for repossession to perform any skip tracing needed to ensure timely recovery of collateral

Maintains quality and accuracy standards with every member interaction

Follows all credit union policies and procedures, collection software workflows, and any other computer systems/software necessary for Account Resolution Specialists

Assists with other projects that relate to the Account Resolution Department as assigned by the Account Resolution Manager

Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally
