Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various @types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes.

Duties

Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials safely throughout the warehouse.

Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.

Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain inventory accuracy.

Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.

Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy equipment within the distribution center.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.

Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements.

Ability to operate various @types of heavy equipment safely, including cranes when necessary.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to build pallets securely for transport.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.

A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.

Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
