Junior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking a rewarding career and an opportunity for advancement!The Junior Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by focusing primarily on general ledger functions. This position involves working with various accounting processes and assisting with audits, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and other accounting tasks. The Junior Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting operations.

Responsibilities

Assist in compiling and preparing financial reports, monthly journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to accurately close the monthly and annual fiscal periods.

Record and manage bank transactions to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in preparing general journal entries and performing account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

Compile necessary documentation and information to assist with internal and external audits.

Perform weekly maintenance transactions for changes and prepare utilization reports.

Assist other accounting staff with various tasks and projects, including collaborating with other teams within the accounting department, and help with the annual budget preparation.

Assist the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP and QuickBooks, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
