Provide mechanical engineering support for the development, testing, and debugging of proto@type power supply units. Design, analyze, and document cold plates, heat sinks, and other typical electronics cooling mechanisms. Model and design heat transfer related to air- and water-cooled electronic systems. Perform tests to validate simulations/calculations, including numerical analyses of fluid transport; conjugate heat transfer; structural mechanics; and/or coupled, electromagnetic-mechanical cases. Create mechanical models/drawings to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards and perform complex analyses of dimensional tolerance. Support sustaining engineering by implementing mechanical designs and alterations to products per customer request. Design products and subcomponents for sheet metal, machining, casting, molding, stamping, and 3D printing.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience with mechanical engineering design, analysis, and evaluation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires education or experience with CAD software including Solidworks; finite element analysis; design, documentation, and maintenance of sheet metal and machined parts; Design of Experiments; Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly; creating system designs and mechanical drawings; assembling or repairing mechanical assemblies; and ECO and transfer-to-manufacturing processes.

Compensation: $92,186 - $122,186 per year
