Position:

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Duties:

Responsible for designing, planning, and standardizing the manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design and fabrication utilizing Cost Benefit Analysis to acquire capital investments bringing cost improvement, efficiency, and capacity to the business. Plan and standardize routing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements. Research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment. Ensure the organizations manufacturing processes meet governmental laws and regulations. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout. Work with supply chain to develop standard kits of raw materials for proprietary equipment and common parts. Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs. Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Confer with equipment vendors and solicit observations from operators. Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and confirming manufacturing processes. Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules with the production manager; and estimating future requirements. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; and requesting special service. Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Participate in the companys continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.

Required Related Occupation Experience:

One (1) year of manufacturing engineering experience.
