Design, build, and support the robust cloud-based services we need for our rapidly growing business (React, NodeJS).

Make and implement technology decisions that support business needs without compromising security, privacy, or quality.

Research commercial and open-source solutions, and make build vs buy recommendations to bring new capabilities into the technology organization.

Enhance existing systems to add new functionality, and to improve performance, stability, quality, and security.

Advocate for high standards; make quality-of-life improvements to the codebase; and help limit the growth of technical debt.

Build deep user empathy and maintain a user-centric mindset.

Communicate regularly and effectively within and on behalf of our cross-functional product delivery teams.

Mentor and learn from other engineers.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field such as Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or foreign degree equivalent, plus five (5) years of experience in software development.

The experience (which may be gained concurrently) must also include each of the following:

5 years of experience with Javascript or Typescript, which are used when using React, Jest, Testing-Library, etc.;

5 years of experience with building full-stack products (i.e., end-to-end, backend and frontend); and

5 years of experience with React or equivalent UI development framework (e.g., Angular, Vue, etc.).

Job Location: Abridge AI, Inc.: 30 S 15th Street, Suite 1550, PMB 41901, Philadelphia, PA 19102. (Telecommuting allowed 5 days per week). 10% of travel is required for getting together the team in-person at either the San Francisco, CA office, or another location within the US. 40 hours per week, 9:00 am -- 5:00 pm.
