I am excited to apply for the Peer Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist position with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. As a U.S. Army Veteran with over five years of experience supporting individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges, I am committed to empowering fellow veterans on their recovery journey.
In my current role at the Area Substance Abuse Council, I provide mentorship, lead group sessions, and connect individuals with critical resources. My crisis intervention skills and dedication to advocacy ensure those I support feel safe, heard, and empowered.
