About
I’m a Wildland Firefighter with experience on Type 4 and Type 6 engines, on hand crews, and on a 20-person hand crew. Since September 2024 I’ve been in the Job Corps Wildland Firefighter Training Program, where I’ve learned both in the classroom and out in the field. I’ve earned my FFT2 Red Card along with S-130, S-190, L-180, ICS-100, ICS-700, CPR, and First Aid. I’ve worked on different fire assignments that gave me experience in suppression, initial attack, mop-up, hose lays, pump and roll, cold trailing, and handline construction. I also have training in using chainsaws and hand tools, pump and engine maintenance, UTV operations, burnout support, and fireline communications. Working with both smaller hand crews and a full 20-person crew has taught me how to adjust to different roles and situations. I know how to put in long hours in rough terrain, live out of spike camps when needed, and still keep safety and readiness as priorities. I’m serious about continuing my career in wildland fire, building on the experience I’ve gained, and working my way up to positions with more responsibility and leadership.
