Locally owned independent dealership looking for a Service/Parts Advisor. **Starting pay: $20.00 per hour and up, depending on experience. Benefits are available through the employer, with details discussed during the interview. Potential for a commission/incentive plan based on experience and responsibilities. This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in keeping our service department organized and providing a great experience for our customers. The right person will be comfortable working with customers, technicians, parts suppliers, and our dealership team while keeping multiple tasks moving throughout the day. Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate customer service appointments

Communicate with customers regarding service needs, recommendations, estimates, and vehicle status

Order and receive automotive parts and verify accuracy of orders

Work closely with technicians to identify and obtain needed parts

Maintain accurate service and parts records

Assist with service write-ups and repair orders

Handle customer check-in and check-out

Process payments and operate the service department cashier

Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries

Coordinate with parts suppliers and vendors

Help maintain an organized and efficient service and parts department

Provide professional, friendly customer service throughout the repair process

Perform other duties as needed to support the dealership and service department

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple tasks at once

Comfortable and proficient with Windows-based computer systems

Able to learn and effectively use dealership and parts/service software

Basic mechanical knowledge of automobiles is helpful

Automotive experience is preferred, but not required

Dealership, service department, parts store, repair shop, or other automotive-related experience is a plus

Ability to communicate professionally with customers, technicians, and vendors

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Strong math and basic cash-handling skills

Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
