Job Duties:

This is a full-time position. Duties include providing administrative support to the Health Commissioner, coordination of the monthly Board of Health and annual District Advisory Council meetings, taking formal and informal meeting minutes, assisting with document and report preparation, contract management, special projects, and providing backup for the Fiscal Officer. Also serves as the agency-level human resources coordinator, responsible for coordinating staff hiring, onboarding, and offboarding; coordinating performance evaluations; entering personnel actions; managing personnel policy updates; monitoring leave accruals; and preparing various human resources reports. This position reports directly to the Health Commissioner.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; or, Associate degree and four (4) years of experience; or high school diploma or equivalent, and five (5) years' experience in an office setting or similar environment; or any combination of equivalent education, training, and/or experience. Demonstrates enhanced expertise with the ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities with limited supervision. Assumes broader programmatic responsibility within assigned areas, applying judgment and experience to support program effectiveness and continuous improvement. May provide guidance and support to less experienced staff and help coordinate program activities. Exercises discretion in decision-making within established policies and procedures. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Required to have regular and predictable attendance

Sign-On Bonus- New Employees receive a one-time $500 sign-on bonus after completing their 180-day probationary period. After one year of service, staff will receive an additional $1,000 bonus.

Anniversary Bonus- All staff receive a bonus on their five-year anniversaries, ranging from $1,000 to $1,500.

Attractive Schedule- We follow an attractive work schedule of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the option of a four-day (10 hr/day) workweek once the probationary period is complete.
