Recycling Material Specialist

United Parts Supply is

seeking

a dependable and hardworking Recycling Material Specialist to join our Houston team. This is a hands-on position responsible for unloading,

identifying

, sorting, and separating automotive and metal recyclable materials.

The ideal candidate has

experience working with scrap metal, automotive recycling, salvage, material sorting, or a similar industry and is familiar with

identifying

and separating

different @types

of recyclable materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

Unload automotive parts, metals, and other recyclable materials from customer and company vehicles.

Identify

, sort, and separate materials into the correct categories.

Inspect incoming materials and notify a supervisor when materials require

additional

identification or review.

Move materials to

designated

processing, storage, or staging areas.

Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Follow established procedures for material handling and separation.

Work efficiently while

maintaining

accuracy and meeting daily production expectations.

Follow instructions provided by supervisors and line leads.

Follow all company safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Assist

other yard and warehouse employees as operational needs require.

Operate a forklift when assigned, if

properly trained

and authorized by the company.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred not required previous

experience in recycling, scrap metal, automotive parts, salvage, warehouse operations, or material sorting. Candidates with experience

identifying

different @types

of metals and automotive recyclable materials are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applicants should be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the workday. Work may be performed in warehouse and outdoor yard environments and may include exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions.

Forklift experience is preferred but not

required

. Employees operating forklifts must meet company training and authorization requirements.
