Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.

Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors safely and efficiently.

Assist with menu planning by preparing seasonal or special dishes that meet dietary guidelines and customer preferences.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas by following food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.

Support dietary department needs by handling food safely during meal prep for special diets or dietary restrictions.

Contribute to high-volume production during busy service times while adhering strictly to recipe adherence and portion control.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including serving staff support and timely food delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dietary aide, cook, or in a related food service role within restaurants or catering environments.

Strong knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and handling food in compliance with health regulations.

Proficiency in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation for large-scale service.

Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production is highly desirable.

Excellent knife skills and familiarity with food handling procedures across diverse culinary settings.
