Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technician, Rieter America, LLC., Spartanburg, SC.

Install new Rieter fiber spinning and fiber preparation equipment at assigned customer sites in roving field service capacity. Fine tune and adjust fiber preparation machines to meet operational and quality specifications established by Rieter. Integrate new Rieter technologies into customer textile mills, ensuring compatibility with existing production systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technological malfunctions on running Rieter equipment, including older model machines. Train customer production personnelusing Spanish and English as requiredon the proper operation, maintenance, and adjustment of Rieter textile machinery. Conduct machine tests, collect performance data, document results, and submit technical reports to Rieters engineering team. Recommend design modifications or engineering improvements to Rieter Headquarters to enhance equipment quality, reliability, and operational performance. Review, interpret, and apply technical instructions, engineering drawings, and blueprints to ensure that installation and testing activities comply with Rieter specifications and project objectives. Periodically instruct other mechanical engineering technicians, primarily in Spanish, on procedures for installing textile machinery, equipment, and related systems (instruction only; no supervisory duties). Test and inspect machinery during commissioning and while in production to verify compliance with operational standards. Attend job related technical training in the United States and internationally as assigned or approved by management.

Work standard hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and perform overtime including weekends and holidays when necessary to complete customer site work or emergency service tasks. Perform field service at unanticipated customer sites throughout the assigned region. Telecommute from within a 60-mile radius of Spartanburg, South Carolina, when performing administrative duties; submit reports electronically to the Spartanburg office. At customer facilities, coordinate the tasks of up to 20 subcontractors and customer personnel who may not speak technical English; coordination involves scheduling and task alignment only and does not include supervisory authority.

Requires an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires five (5) years of experience in textile spinning industry to include five (5) years: installing large industrial machines; reading industrial electrical diagrams; utilizing CAD software; three (3) years leading teams; one (1 ) year utilizing the European metric system and normalization.

Requires spoken and written fluency in Spanish. Requires 10% international travel to attend training overseas.
