Position Overview

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Warehouse Worker II (Shipping Coordinator) to support an aerospace fittings manufacturing operation in

Fullerton, California.

This is a key logistics role responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, managing shipping documentation, supporting domestic and international transportation activities, and ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong shipping and logistics experience, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping Coordination and Logistics

Coordinate daily outbound shipments to meet customer requirements and production schedules.

Schedule carrier pickups, shipping appointments, and transportation logistics.

Prioritize and manage shipping workflows across departments and shifts.

Coordinate intercompany transfers and internal material movements.

Track and process shipments using internal systems and logistics tools.

Documentation and Compliance

Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including:

Bills of Lading (BOLs)

Packing Slips

Certifications

Export Documentation

Customs Documentation

Verify shipment accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and labeling requirements.

Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready records.

Support export compliance requirements and international shipping processes.

Problem Resolution and Communication

Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and documentation issues.

Communicate shipping priorities, status updates, and risks to cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Materials departments to ensure seamless operations.

Data Management and Reporting

Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, filter, track, and manage shipping data.

Monitor workflow queues and shipment status reports.

Ensure high-volume transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 3 years of shipping, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing experience.

Strong experience with:

Shipping documentation

Transportation scheduling

Shipment coordination

Logistics workflows

Working knowledge of export shipping and customs documentation.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

Sorting

Filtering

Data tracking

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work with urgency and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.

Background in distribution centers or high-volume logistics operations.

Familiarity with:

ITAR Regulations

EAR Regulations

Export Compliance Requirements

Experience coordinating international shipments and intercompany transfers.

Experience supporting large-scale shipping operations.

Work Environment

Fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Primarily computer-based role with regular interaction on the production floor.

Combination of desk work and warehouse support activities.

High-volume shipment processing and documentation management.

Requires strong time management and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
