We are seeking two experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanics to join our team and help maintain our fleet of ready-mix trucks, heavy equipment, and support vehicles.

Position Summary

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on ready-mix trucks, diesel engines, trailers, and related equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring fleet reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on ready-mix trucks and diesel-powered equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and engine-related issues.

Conduct inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and safety concerns.

Repair and replace components including brakes, suspensions, steering systems, transmissions, and engines.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and diagnostic fault codes.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation.

Ensure all repairs comply with company safety standards and applicable regulations.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed.

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch personnel, and management regarding equipment status.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.

Experience with heavy-duty trucks, ready-mix trucks, construction equipment, or similar fleet vehicles preferred.

Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and preventative maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various weather conditions.

Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery safely.
