What You'll Be Doing: The Heart of the Role

As a DSP, you are the cornerstone of support, independence and well-being for the individuals we serve. Your essential functions include:

[Compassionate Direct Care: Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation and medication administration. You will maintain a safe, sanitary and supportive home environment.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Empowerment and Advocacy: Encouraging independence, self-advocacy and community involvement. You will uphold the "Bill of Rights for People with Developmental Disabilities" and help plan meaningful leisure activities like shopping and community outings.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Essential Transportation: Safely driving clients to and from medical appointments, educational programs, recreational activities and community events, following all Ohio DODD and agency safety protocols.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Medical Support: Scheduling, accompanying and supporting individuals at their medical appointments. Administering medications and treatments accurately according to documented procedures (Category 1 Certification required; Category 2/3 may be needed).]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

[Professional Documentation: Maintaining accurate and confidential records (paper or electronic) of progress, medical information and daily activities in compliance with HIPAA and DODD guidelines.]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}

Qualifications We Are Looking For:
