Strait & Lamp Lumber supplies building materials to the central Ohio area. John our delivery team today!

Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am -- 5:00 pm and every other Saturday, 7:00 am --

noon. Addional overme may be required at the discreon of the General Manager.

Job Purpose: To deliver customer orders to job sites.

Scope of Responsibilies:

Performs pre-trip inspecons on trucks and forklis; Operates delivery vehicles; Loads and unloads

truck; Assists in building loads; Assists with general yard dues as needed; Keeps trucks well greased;

Keeps trucks clean; Assists in cleaning employee break room; Assists with annual inventory

Minimum Educaon Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skill, Training, Licenses, Experience and/or Abilies:

-Some Product knowledge preferred

-CDL Class A or B required

Candidate must have a good driving record

-Candidate must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy

-Basic math skills are required

-Ability to read and write

-Candidate must have excellent customer relaons abilies

-Excellent communicaon skills required

-Candidate must be alert and organized

Equipment/Soware/Technology used:

-Frequent use of forkli

-Frequent use of delivery vehicles (Smi, Boom, Flat Bed)

-Occasional use of saws

-Occasional use of pickup trucks

-Rare use of plow truck

Essenal physical and mental funcons:

-Candidate must be able to handle stressful situaons in a professional manner

-Candidate must be able to li up to 80 lbs.

-Candidates must be able to repeatedly bend, li, crouch, twist, ect.

-Candidate must be able to mul-task and priorize

-Candidate must be able to operate a forkli safely

-Candidate must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely

Working Condions:

Outdoor weather condions including cold, heat, ice, snow, rain, wind, ect.

Safety Requirements:

All employees are expected to adhere to the safety regulaons set forth by OSHA and company policies.

This may include, but is not limited to; eye protecon in plants, hardhats outdoors, seat belts worn in all

company vehicles, limited cell phone use and regular safety training.

Management reserves the right to assign or reassign dues as needed.
