Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused CDL Truck Driver with at least 2 years experience to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freight from origin to destination, ensuring all cargo is secure and that all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations are strictly followed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, navigating varying road conditions, traffic, and weather.

Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip inspections to check systems like brakes, engines, lights, and tires.

Cargo Management: Assist with or oversee the loading and unloading of freight. Ensure all items are properly blocked, braced, and strapped down.

Compliance: Maintain accurate driver logs (ELDs), mileage reports, and fuel receipts in strict compliance with federal and state regulations.

Communication: Coordinate closely with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or unforeseen delays.

Maintenance: Monitor fluid levels, perform basic preventative maintenance, and report any mechanical defects or safety hazards immediately to management.

Requirements and Qualifications

Must have at least minimum 2 years experience as a CDL Truck Driver

Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) in good standing.

Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.

Must meet the minimum age requirements (typically 18+ for intrastate, 21+ for interstate).

Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and drug screening.

Physical stamina to sit for extended periods, walk on various terrains, and occasionally lift/move heavy freight.

Strong knowledge of DOT rules, traffic laws, and Hours of Service (HOS) limits.

Work Environment

Drivers may be expected to handle Texas Only Routes and staying out extended time away from home.
