Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):

High school diploma or GED and 3 years of work related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree and 2 years of work experience in case management or the Clerk's Office.

Special Working Conditions and/or Hazards:

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.

Job Duties:

Assists pro se litigants and help center clients with private custody and companionship filings by explaining procedures, reviewing forms for completeness, and providing accurate procedural information in a patient, professional, and helpful manner.

Screens, processes, and manages complaints, resultant motions, and ancillary actions for cases of custody, visitation, paternity, support, dependency, adult misdemeanors, delinquency, unruly, and traffic cases.

Assists pro se petitioners by discerning the nature of their case and explaining procedural options.

Serves as a liaison between litigants, Help Center staff, attorneys, court personnel, and the public by facilitating communication, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries.

Manages multiple clerical and procedural responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and maintaining attention to detail.

Assesses court costs, processes payments of bond, purges, restitution, filing fees, and miscellaneous fees.

Disbursement of bonds as dictated by law.

Maintains general working knowledge of all Court departments and a detailed working knowledge of the Case Management, Help Center, and Clerk's Office function procedures to effectively assist the public and support departmental functions.

Generates reports, maintains statistical data, and assists with tracking and reporting Help Center information as needed. Images, copies, scans, files, and distribute documents and records in accordance with departmental policies and record-keeping standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.
