We are an independently owned Primary Care Physician (PCP) office dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our small but dedicated team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office environment and values excellent patient service.

Position Summary

The Medical Office Assistant will support both clinical and administrative functions within the office. The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to assist with patient care procedures and office operations.

Responsibilities

Perform venipunctures and administer IM injections

Conduct EKGs and Pulmonary Function Studies

Check and record patient vital signs

Assist providers with patient examinations and physicals

Coordinate and assist with patient referrals

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Assist with general front and back-office duties as needed

Demonstrate basic pharmaceutical knowledge and understanding of insurance processes

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and patient care procedures

Ability to perform venipunctures, injections, EKGs, and pulmonary testing

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Dependable, professional, and compassionate demeanor
