The Senior Associate Attorney will perform the following duties in connection with the firms family law, matrimonial, litigation and trusts and estates practice: Interpret and apply statures, regulations, court rules, and judicial decisions in New York State and related jurisdictions to advise clients and develop legal strategies. Analyze factual records, legal precedents, and procedural posture to evaluate the probable outcomes of contested and uncontested legal matters. *Represent clients in Family Court, Supreme Court, Surrogates Court, and related forums, including appearing at conferences, hearings, motion arguments, trials, and settlement proceedings. 4. Prepare, draft, and review legal pleadings and documents, including complaints, petitions, motions, affidavits, discovery demands and responses, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, settlement agreements, stipulations, wills, trusts, and related estate planning instruments. 5. Represent clients, including minors and other vulnerable parties, in family and matrimonial matters, including conducting client interviews, reviewing records, and presenting evidence before courts and administrative bodies. 6. Gather, review, and analyze evidence by interviewing clients and witnesses, reviewing financial and legal records, coordinating with experts, and preparing materials for litigation and negotiation. 7. Develop case strategies and arguments by evaluating legal findings and preparing written and oral advocacy for court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution. 8. Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in matrimonial, family, trust, and estate matters through mediation, conferences, and direct negotiation with opposing counsel. 9. Advise clients regarding legal rights, obligations, and liabilities, including matters involving divorce, custody, support, estate administration, probate, and trust planning. 10. Prepare legal briefs, memoranda, and written opinions, and manage motion practice and appeals as appropriate in state courts. 11. Confer with colleagues, experts, and court personnel to establish and verify legal and factual bases for proceedings and to coordinate case management. 12. Conduct client consultations and ongoing communications, including explaining legal options, procedures, and anticipated outcomes, and maintaining attorney-client relationships. 13. Perform administrative and case-management functions related to the practice of law, including docket management, compliance with court deadlines, and coordination with support staff as necessary for case administration.

Educational Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent in Law.

Experience Requirements: Thirty-six (36) months experience as an attorney.

Special Skills, License/Certification: License to practice law in New York State required.

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Incidental travel to attend court appearances, meetings, conferences, etc.
