Overview

Highland Electrical Sales is a trusted manufacturers' representative firm serving the electrical industry. We partner directly with leading manufacturers to deliver exceptional sales and service to electrical distributors across our territory. The Sales Operations Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting Highland Electrical Sales growth and efficiency across multiple business functions. This position combines strategic planning, technology management, and event enablement to ensure the sales organization operates at peak performance.

Core Focus Areas

Technology & Tools

Manage all data collection, entry, and maintenance within Microsoft Suite and the company's in-house CRM system.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all platforms and reporting tools.

Serve as the primary administrator for CRM operations, including updates, audits, and

follow-up activities.

Develop and refine data workflows to improve efficiency, reporting reliability, and cross-department collaboration.

Strategy & Planning

Support the design and execution of long-term sales goals.

Assist with territory planning, quota setting, and sales forecasting.

Collaborate with leadership to align operational processes with strategic objectives.

Event & Sales Enablement Support

Coordinate logistics for trade shows, sales meetings, and promotional events.

Gather, organize, and prepare marketing collateral, samples, and display materials for each event.

Manage inventory of branded materials, ensuring timely replenishment, and accurate tracking.

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure booth setup, presentation, and materials align with brand standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and handle all sales-related activities.

Process customer orders via email and phone, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Manage sales contacts and maintain a precise database of sales records.

Liaise with logistics and manufacturers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Communicate with clients to obtain missing information or resolve inquiries.

Maintain and update customer and sales databases.

Create and distribute sales reports for management and team use.

Support promotional activities, trade shows, and client events.

Provide administrative support for travel arrangements, meeting scheduling, and expense reporting.

Track sales targets and report progress or deviations.

Stay informed about new products, features, and industry developments.

Provide administrative support to leadership and the broader team as needed, including assistance with contacts, records, and general office organization.

Qualifications

Experience in sales operations, administration, or administration support is a plus.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is a must.

Experience with CRM systems is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Must be able to work on-site; this is not a remote position.

Occasional travel may be required for sales events or client consultations.

Additional Information

Work Environment: This is an in-office position (Non --Remote). Business hours of Monday through Friday. 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM MST. Some travel may be required for sales events or client meetings.

Location: Golden, Colorado.

Reporting Structure: Reports to President of Highland Electrical Sales.

Salary: Pay structure is an hourly ratebased upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Employment Type: Part-Time currently. Can become full time based on performance.
