Job Title: Excavator Operator

Company: Flint Hills Stone

Location: Alma, KS

What Youll Be Doing-Youll be running an excavator in an active rock quarry, digging, loading, and moving material all day. Youll be working around haul trucks, and other heavy equipment to keep production moving.

Run excavator to load trucks

Keep a steady flow of material without holding up the crew

Work alongside plant operators, truck drivers, and ground guys to keep things moving

Jump in and help where needed, this is a team operation, family oriented

Daily Expectations

Do a walk-around inspection before every shift

Keep your machine clean and fueled

Catch problems early and speak up before they turn into breakdowns

Operate safely at all times

Follow MSHA and company safety rules

What Were Looking For

Experience running an excavator, quarry or heavy dirt work a plus

Good awareness of surroundings, people, trucks, edges, and drop-offs

Shows up on time, ready to work, every day

Takes care of equipment like its their own

Requirements

Valid drivers license

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen

Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and dust, Equipment is heated and cooled.

Able to climb in and out of equipment and handle a full shift

Work Conditions-This is a working quarry. Youll be around moving equipment, rock piles, and changing ground conditions daily.
