As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant, heres a big-picture view of what youll do:

Provide physical therapy to patients who have lost mobility,

strength or functionality in facilities such as nursing homes, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, clinics and hospitals

Work with a team of physicians, nurses, CNAs, OTs and SLPs to

provide excellent patient care

Assist physician in evaluation of patient function and performance,

as well as equipment needs

Conduct therapies, document progress and make recommendations if

therapy services should be modified

Assist patient with exercises and hands-on therapy to manage pain

and increase mobility

Educate patients and family on established goals, exercises and

self-care to ensure progress
