Position Purpose

Responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and controlling an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of Interior Weatherization. Ensures that all accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulator, company, and grant requirements.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Administer and monitor the financial system to ensure finances are maintained in accurate and timely manner

Assist with preparation and monitoring of budget vs actual and projections

Comply with financial policies and procedures

Establish, maintain and reconcile general ledger

Reconcile bank statements

Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into GMS computerized accounting system

Administer and maintain Procurement and vendor files

Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports

Prepare for and assist with annual CPA, Workers Comp and AHFC audits

Maintain financial files, records, and GMS system

Maintain accounts payable and receivable systems to ensure complete and accurate record of all funds

Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents

Reconcile Accounts Payable/Receivable

Prepare journal summaries

Administer employee files and records to ensure accurate payment of benefits and deductions

Establish and maintain employee payroll files in GMS system and confidential payroll files

Maintain leave management system

Verify and report deductions, benefit payment, and remittance submittals

Retirement program files and compliance to include testing and 5500

Administer bi-weekly payroll to ensure employees are paid in accurate and timely manner

Verify and code timesheets and hours worked

Verify and enter employee salaries, hours, leave, deductions, and reimbursements into GMS system

Process payroll checks, prepare and remit source deductions and payroll taxes

Prepare and review payroll summaries, journals, and reports
