Workers will perform general agricultural labor related to the production of potatoes, cabbage, and squash. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Field Preparation: Preparing agricultural fields for planting, including: Removing rocks and debris Preparing soil beds using hand tools Assisting with laying plastic, irrigation lines, and drip tape Planting: Planting crops, including: Placing seed pieces or transplants by hand or machine Assisting with proper spacing and alignment Replanting as necessary to ensure crop uniformity Cultivation and Weeding: Performing hand weeding and hoeing Identifying and removing unwanted vegetation Assisting with cultivation and general crop maintenance Harvesting: Harvesting potatoes, cabbage, and squash by hand or with tools Cutting, pulling, or digging crops as appropriate Sorting and field grading harvested crops Placing crops into containers, bins, or field trucks Loading and unloading harvested products for transport

General Labor: Walking, bending, stooping, kneeling for extended periods Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds Using hand tools such as hoes, knives, and shovels Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. Duties may vary from time to time. All applicants must possess the ability to work between hot and cold temperatures throughout their shift, work various shifts, be on their feet for long periods of time.

Requirements:

3 months experience

Frequent stooping/ bending over

Lifting requirement of 60 lbs.

Extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, Repetitive movements

Exposure to extreme temperatures
