Job description:

My Aquatic Services is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist with residential and/or commercial construction projects, perform general labor tasks, operate tools and equipment, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation, repair, and remodeling of pools, spas, and related aquatic features Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support construction activities Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Perform tasks such as concrete forming, masonry work, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, roofing, carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging), and glass or cabinet installation Support plumbing and electrical work by assisting licensed professionals as needed Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to safety protocols at all times

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation Experience with construction management practices and estimating processes Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of construction inspection procedures for quality assurance Familiarity with specialty trades such as masonry, roofing, drywall (including plastering/stucco), flooring installation (tile or other materials), welding, restoration work, hardscape creation, and glass or cabinet installation Strong understanding of plumbing systems and electrical components relevant to construction projects Ability to read schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions confidently Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety and quality control

Schedule and Location: Full-time, Monday to Friday Office-based with occasional travel to job sites for assessments Based in West Fargo, ND, serving projects across ND, SD, and MN Relocation Assistance Potential if moving to the area
