OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

To inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust and maintain equipment in the plant. To inspect, repair, paint, and refurbish Wyandot, Inc. buildings and related equipment. To maintain plant functionality with a minimum amount of downtime towards the operations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and follow work orders from supervision with minimal direction.

Develop team atmosphere between Production and Maintenance.

Plan out work procedures, determine tools and materials required.

Make suggestions for redesigning and/or improvement modifications of equipment and systems.

Inspect mechanical equipment for defects, i.e.: misalignment, wear, etc.

Determine optimization of repairs to minimize cost and interruption towards production.

Advise when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation will have no harmful effect.

Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles and lubricates equipment.
