Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist contributes to EOCF by performing routine and involved/complex accounting functions. While this role has a focus on accounts payable, you will also be completing a variety of complex Fiscal (Accounting) tasks. This benefited position is budgeted for 27 hours per week and 1,388 hours per year. This is primarily an in-office position.

This part-time role is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing essential fiscal support to our early learning community. The weekly schedule is flexible during the work week in order to support the fiscal needs of EOCF.

We offer competitive benefits as well as a starting wage of $26.74 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based upon the candidate qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts payable process using accounting software and internal program.

Review invoices for appropriate approval and documentation prior to payment

Code and enter AP invoices using an extensive chart of accounts with multiple funding sources

Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to State, Federal, and internal policies and procedures

Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment

Analyzing workflow processes to improve internal processes

Collect and organize vendor data such as contracts, W-9 forms, etc.

Prepare and perform check runs and process electronic payments

Reconcile account payable transactions

Prepare analysis of accounts when needed

Skills:

Work effectively with vendors, staff, and/or clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Education:

Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred.

High School diploma and four years of comparable professional experience may be substituted for education requirement.

Experience:

Two years of experience in the Accounting field is required.

Experience with job costing or cost allocation strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting may be substituted for experience requirement.
