Job Summary:

BSA Specialist ensures all regulatory requirements of the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and Anti-Money Laundering compliance programs are met. This role works closely with the S.V.P. Compliance/Risk Management Officer to ensure efficient BSA compliance programs are in place and meet regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain compliance with the BSA including, but not limited to:

Monitoring accounts and transactions

Investigating questionable activity on accounts

Filing all required reports

Performing initial and ongoing due diligence on prospective and current customers, including onsite visits as required

Preparing reports for management

Providing training for staff and customers relating to the BSA, fraud, and scams

Assist the Department Manager and other department members with tasks related to Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit functions of the bank

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years' experience in BSA Compliance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. BSA Officer Certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification

Strong customer service skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times, in all situations

Ability to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office (preferably Word, Excel)

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a highly detailed, fast paced environment
